The new pump is being installed today at Well #1. Del Oro does not anticipate interruption of service.
Field staff brought Well #1 back online at 5 pm.

The pump on Well #1 recently failed due to overuse. This occurred because settling of the land compressed the perforated casing inside the well. The pump pulls water up to the surface through this casing, and the additional effort required caused the pump to fail. Del Oro is working with its engineers to determine the best type of pump and casing to resume production from Well #1.
Ultimately, Del Oro will need to drill a new well to replace Well #1; but in the meantime, rehabilitation of Well #1 is our priority. More information will be posted, including the project timeline, when available.
