Packets are being mailed today to all California Pines customers. These packets contain answers to frequently asked questions about the project. They also include information about why the project is necessary, estimated cost details, environmental impact information, and a summary of improvements made to the district since Del Oro has owned the water system. CALIFORNIA PINES TANK REPLACEMENT FAQ

Construction of a new 200,000-gallon storage tank adjacent to the old tank located at the top of Rocking K Drive is to commence early spring 2024, weather permitting, with completion by the end of summer 2024. Please see notice mailed February 16, 2024 for additional information.

Customers are invited to comment in writing on this proposal. Comments must reference “California Pines Tank Replacement Project”. Comments must be mailed no later than March 8, 2024, and should be mailed to Del Oro Water Co., California Pines District, Drawer 5172, Chico, CA 95927, or be faxed to (530) 717-2639, or be emailed to CommunityRelations@delorowater.com.

It will be determined if a public meeting is required after the comment period has ended, and we have an understanding of our customers’ questions and concerns. A final notice will be issued with answers to the concerns.
