Update 4:30 pm 9/19/2023: Service is still off for some customers. Service should be restored by 7 pm.

On September 19, 2023 certain customers will have water service temporarily shut-off from approximately 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The actual duration of the shut-off will depend on the conditions encountered. During the shut-off the Ferndale Fire Department will be doing fire hydrant work and installing a new fire hydrant. At the same time, Del Oro Water employees will be installing a new drinking water main line valve.

Once the work has been completed, your water service will be restored, but the district will be under a boil water advisory until bacteriological sampling can be taken and the results received. This is normal procedure for a long shut down period as a safety precaution and is mandated by the County Health Department and the State Division of Drinking Water.
