September 3, 2024: Lowering Staged Restrictions of Water Use: From Stage 5 to Stage 2

Del Oro Water Company, River Island District is asked to observe Rule 14.1 Stage 2 restrictions:

• Customers are allowed to water three (3) days a week, Please see the back of this notice for your
watering days

Customers are asked to observe the Rule 14.1 Stage 2 restrictions as shown on the back of this
notice.

Please remember that the following are ALWAYS prohibited:

• The application of potable water to landscapes in a manner that causes runoff to other areas
• The use of a hose that dispenses potable water to wash any vehicles, aircraft, or trailers, except where the hose is fitted with a shut-off nozzle
• Using broken or defective plumbing or irrigation after DOWC has notified you to repair it
• Using outdoor irrigation during and 48 hours following measurable precipitation
• Using potable water in decorative water features that do not recirculate the water
• Using potable water to wash sidewalks & driveways

May 15, 2024: Please be advised that watering days have been reassigned to spread the demand caused by outside watering. Please see below for your updated watering days based on your location:

As customers are aware, the treatment plant is still awaiting final approval from the state. Therefore, the district is currently still relying on its wells. The remaining wells are struggling to keep up with the demand due to customers excessively irrigating their lawns on non-watering days. Del Oro would like to remind customers that the district is in Schedule 14.1 Stage 5 conservation, which allows for outside watering one (1) day per week. Please see notice below.

If customers are unable to comply with Stage 5 watering restrictions, Del Oro will be forced to move the district to Stage 6 which allows for NO outside watering.
