Del Oro has received several calls regarding low water pressure since yesterday evening. All operable wells are running 21 hours per day to keep up with demand, but with the loss of five wells during March’s flooding the remaining wells cannot keep up. To keep all customers in water for drinking and sanitary uses, outdoor watering must be limited to three days per week and curtailed if possible. Failure to comply will result in continued outages outside of DOWC’s control resulting in more severe curtailments.
Del Oro will be filing an advice letter to activate its Schedule 14.1 Stage 2 for River Island District. Please click here to view Schedule 14.1, which is Del Oro’s Water Shortage Contingency Plan authorized by Rule 14.1.
Schedule 14.1 Stage 2 prohibits outdoor watering from 8 am to 6 pm, and allows for watering three days per week:
Even (or no street) address: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Odd address: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
