River Island Conservation Required – July 17, 2023

Conservation Required – July 17, 2023

Del Oro thanks you for your conservation efforts so far.  With the increasing heat and stress on remaining equipment, one of our booster pumps at the Winchester Tank overheated and burned up this weekend. The other booster pump at that location had an electrical issue which has been repaired. Due to this, some customers in the southern part of the district experienced low pressure over the weekend. Customers on Winchester, Roberts, Wrangler, and Coyote reported low pressure.

Our water tanks are still critically low, as our remaining wells cannot keep up with the continually increasing demand with summer watering. All wells are running nearly 24 hours per day. Please reduce watering to ensure that all customers in the district have water available for safety and sanitary uses.

As a reminder, watering restrictions are in effect:

Schedule 14.1 Stage 2 prohibits outdoor watering from 8 am to 6 pm, and allows for watering three days per week:

Even (or no street) addresses: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Odd addresses: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
