Del Oro Water Company is seeking a full-time
Entry-Level WATER UTILITY METER READER for the BUTTE COUNTY (PARADISE/MAGALIA), CA area
Del Oro Water will train the ideal candidate in the following:
- Water meter reading, installation, and maintenance
- Repairing leaks in service lines, mainlines, valves, and hydrants
- Maintaining buildings and grounds
- Operating a variety of manual and power tools, including light to heavy equipment, performing related work as required
Candidate must:
- Be willing and able to perform heavy, manual labor in ALL weather conditions
- Be able to work independently
- Live in or be willing to relocate within 15 minutes travel time to the Paradise/Magalia, CA area
- Be willing and able to work on-call/standby hours, weekends and long hours may be required
- Pass a physical and a drug test
Water Utility Field Technician is considered a “first responder” during emergency conditions; candidates must live within twenty (15) minutes travel time of Districts Operations.

- This is a full-time position with competitive starting salary depending on qualifications
