River Island District Continuing Watering Violations
Over the weekend, a portion of the River Island District lost water again due to excessive usage. This portion used over 100,000 gallons over the weekend for 92 active locations. This usage is well over the amount needed for health and sanitary usage.
Del Oro will be sending additional staff to the River Island District to patrol for water conservation violations. Staff will be on site tonight, and will be issuing door tags to customers watering outside of their assigned days and times and to those found to be wasting water.
Please adjust your irrigation timers to only water on the day and times allowed for your location per the notice below.
Del Oro is working tirelessly to bring the water treatment plant online, and is currently working through the state certification process. We hope that this process will be complete by the end of next week.
